(MENAFN – Colombo Gazette) President Maithripala Sirisena says he is determined to go ahead with implementing the death sentence.
Speaking at an event today the President said that the death sentence must be implemented on serious offenders of drug trafficking.
The President’s intention to implement the death sentence has drawn strong criticism from civil society and human rights groups.
